Treatment Philosophy
Oxford Treatment Center is a 110 acre campus located within the Holly Springs National Forest. With a 5-acre lake, ducks, geese and beautiful undisturbed forest land, the rural setting at Oxford Treatment Center offers a tranquil healing environment. Our approach to addiction treatment is a holistic one, seeking to restore hope and health to individuals who come to us out of painful, self-destructive patterns. It’s not enough to end a physical dependency through successful medical detox. On the other side of that first step, the individual in recovery must have the right support in place to break those old habits and replace them with new ones. He or she must find a new way to fill the void that drugs or alcohol once did — essentially, find a new meaning in life. At Oxford Treatment Center, our team of dedicated professionals consists of a medical director, a board certified addictions psychiatrist, a board certified internist, and 6 board certified nurse practitioners. The most unique hallmark of our team of medical providers is an average of 8 year tenure at Oxford Treatment Center. The medical provider cohort is proud of the stability and commitment it provides to our patients.

The Lovelady Center

Absolutely changed my life. I was in addiction for over 15 years. Nothing ever ever worked for me. But God used the Lovelady center to completely change my life. Absolutely hopeless with nowhere to turn, I walked through the doors of Lovelady Center and was welcomed with arms wide open, no matter what I had done in my past, I was shown nothing but the love of Christ. I gained a family for life. I was taught life skills that I had never learned, work ethic, how to really be a productive member of society. They have so many staff members that truly care about your recovery. So many success stories and testimonies, I knew the second I walked in there my life would forever change. I came there homeless, broken, burnt every bridge and nowhere to turn. Words can’t explain how GRATEFUL I am to have found a home there. I’m now not only a graduate, but gainfully employed, have my own car and own apartment and complete restoration in my family! I have hope now. Absolutely pray anyone in addiction gets to experience what I experienced at the Lovelady Center,

Addison, Alabama, is a charming and close-knit city located in Winston County with a modest population of about 700 residents.1 Despite its small size, Addison exudes a sense of community and hospitality that is characteristic of many small Southern towns. One of the popular elements of Addison is its annual Mule Day celebration, which has been a tradition for over 150 years. Mule Day brings the community together with various festivities, including a parade, arts and crafts, food vendors, and live entertainment.

Another notable aspect of Addison is its picturesque surroundings. The city is nestled amidst rolling hills and green landscapes, offering residents and visitors opportunities for outdoor activities, such as hiking, fishing, and camping. The tranquility of the area provides a peaceful and serene environment for those seeking a slower pace of life away from the bustling cities.

Addison Alcohol Use Stats

Despite its southern charms, the county in which Addison, Alabama resides, is not immune from the effects of alcohol misuse. Based on a report conducted by the Alabama Department of Public Health and the Alabama Rural Health Association, it was found that in 2010 alone, 1,727 individuals in Winston County, comprising approximately 9% of the local population, reported engaging in excessive drinking.2

Alcohol Rehab and Programs

Alcohol rehabilitation, or rehab, offers a range of options and programs tailored to address addiction and support individuals on their journey to recovery. All individuals entering alcohol rehab have unique requirements and treatment needs. These comprehensive treatment approaches aim to provide specialized care and assistance that is tailored to every individual struggling with alcohol use disorder.

What Happens in Alcohol Rehab?

Alcohol rehab offers varying levels of care, including detox, inpatient, outpatient, and aftercare. These stages cater to individuals at different points in their recovery journey, ensuring personalized support and treatment to address alcohol addiction effectively.

Alcohol Detox Programs

Detox programs in alcohol rehab are essential initial steps in the recovery process, providing a medically supervised environment for individuals to safely withdraw from alcohol. During detox, patients may experience withdrawal symptoms, which can range from mild discomfort to severe health risks. To manage these symptoms and ensure a smoother detoxification process, medications may be administered by trained healthcare professionals.

These medications are carefully prescribed to alleviate discomfort, reduce cravings, and minimize potential complications. The medical monitoring and medication assistance offered in detox programs not only enhance the safety and comfort of the individual but also create a solid foundation for further treatment and the journey towards lasting recovery.

How Long Is Alcohol Detox in Rehab?

Detox in alcohol rehab typically lasts for a period of 3 to 7 days, although the exact duration can vary depending on individual factors such as the severity of alcohol use, overall health, and medical history. During this time, the body undergoes a process of ridding itself of alcohol and adjusting to its absence, which may take longer for some than others.

Alcohol Inpatient Rehab

Inpatient alcohol rehab programs are intensive treatment options that provide round-the-clock care and support for individuals struggling with alcohol addiction. During these programs, patients reside at the rehab facility for a specified duration, typically ranging from 30 days to 60 or 90 days, depending on their needs and the severity of their addiction. Inpatient alcohol rehab utilizes various therapeutic approaches to help patients stay on track with their healing journey.

Therapy is a large component of inpatient treatment. Through individual counseling, group therapy sessions, and evidence-based treatments, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and motivational interviewing, patients receive comprehensive support to address the root causes of their addiction and develop coping mechanisms for maintaining sobriety. Moreover, inpatient alcohol rehab is well-equipped to address co-occurring disorders, commonly known as dual diagnosis. Many individuals struggling with alcohol addiction also experience underlying mental health issues, and inpatient programs provide specialized care to treat these co-existing conditions simultaneously.

The structured environment and constant supervision in an inpatient setting create a safe and supportive space for patients to focus solely on their recovery without distractions from the outside world. By combining therapeutic interventions with a controlled environment, inpatient alcohol rehab maximizes the chances of successful recovery and empowers individuals to build a solid foundation for a healthier and sober future.

Outpatient Alcohol Rehab

Outpatient alcohol rehab offers a flexible treatment option for individuals seeking recovery from alcohol addiction while maintaining their daily routines and responsibilities. These programs allow patients to attend therapy sessions and treatment on scheduled days and times, without residing at the rehab facility. Outpatient alcohol rehab typically involves a combination of individual counseling, group therapy, and educational sessions that focus on understanding addiction, developing coping strategies, and fostering relapse prevention skills.

Through these therapeutic interventions, patients learn to identify triggers, manage cravings, and build a strong support network to navigate the challenges of sobriety in their daily lives. As patients progress through the program and prepare for discharge, they receive tailored aftercare plans to support their continued recovery journey beyond formal treatment. These aftercare plans may include ongoing therapy sessions, participation in support groups like Alcoholics Anonymous (AA), and access to resources that promote sustained sobriety.

How Much Does Alcohol Rehab Cost?

Paying for rehab can indeed be a daunting and overwhelming prospect for many individuals seeking help for alcohol addiction. The financial burden may feel like an obstacle that prevents them from accessing the treatment they desperately need. However, it’s essential to recognize that the cost of rehab should never be a reason to avoid getting help. There are various options and resources available to make treatment more accessible and manageable, such as:

 Does Insurance Cover Alcohol Rehab?

It’s important to know that many health insurance plans do cover at least partial costs of alcohol rehab. These insurance benefits are often designed to help individuals access the necessary treatment for substance use disorders, including alcohol addiction. There are many insurance providers that are widely accepted by alcohol rehab centers. These include, but are not limited to:

While coverage details may vary depending on the specific insurance policy and provider, it is common for insurance plans to include some level of coverage for inpatient or outpatient alcohol rehab services. To determine how you will be covered, call to speak with an admissions navigator who can verify your benefits at no cost to you.
