On the other side of that first step, the individual in recovery must have the right support in place to break those old habits and replace them with new ones. He or she must find a new way to fill the void that drugs or alcohol once did — essentially, find a new meaning in life. At Oxford Treatment Center, our team of dedicated professionals consists of a medical director, a board certified addictions psychiatrist, a board certified internist, and 6 board certified nurse practitioners. My experience is one of surrender and learning how to love myself. I've been to 6 other treatment centers but Oxford is where I truly surrendered to the disease of addiction and I'm finding a new way to cope with daily life with the tools provided.
