Gospel Rescue Mission - Women's Recovery Center

Strength:The faith based programs and the accountability you are held to. weakness: The staff are not consistent and are not trained in dealing with people coming off drugs and that have mental issues also. It was a really great place when I went in 2 years ago but since then it has gone down hill they tend to play favorites and it seems as if the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing. There is no consistency there and when someone truly needs the help and knows if they leave they will relapse the staff doesn't care I would definitely recommend looking into more caring and understanding facilities then Gospel rescue mission. I was once very proud of the work they did there but now I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Canyon Crossing Recovery for Women

1 review 5.0 star rating 5/23/2017 I was a client at canyon crossing and my experience was life changing. I have two years and two months sober. I'm starting grad school this fall to follow my dream to become a therapist with a speciality in equine assisted mental health. The owners and staff took personal interest in my care and recovery. They showed me love and through that love they taught me how to love myself. I know how to show up for life as a responsible adult today. I'm still in Prescott and meet the new girls at canyon to show them what sisters in recovery look like. Canyon Crossing has a special place in my heart. I also worked for Canyon for a few months as a house manner. I had lots of support from the staff, therapist and owners. They were always just a phone call away when i need help or an answer to something. It was a wonderful opportunity to give back to an organization that gave me my life back.

A Better Today Recovery Services

Treatment Plans: My treatment was personalized based on length of drug abuse, substances being abused, and co-occurring disorders. Responsiveness of Staff: My detox was difficult for me, but the nurses and physicians who tended to me kept my hopes high and helped me through the aches and pains. I would have been happier with a personal massage now and again, but for the price I was willing to pay for treatment personal massages was not in my budget. When my family came to me about my addiction I did not realize how badly I hurt them and the damage I caused to my marriage. Thinking I would have to go through a whole nother set of therapy when I graduated from ABTRS was stressful. Toward the end of my treatment family therapy sessions were introduced to my treatment plan and I was able to rekindle my relationship with both my children and my wife upon graduating. They helped my family understand my need for therapy and educated them about my addiction. They helped me set boundaries, detailed relapse prevention strategies, and helped focus my mind of the positive aspects of life. What sparked me to do this review was really the follow up from ABTRS. I received a call from their Alumni Coordinator asking me about my journey through recovery, whether I still attend meetings, and asked if I wanted to get involved in the alumni program. I am so shocked at this even now when I am writing this review. I just attended an alumni picnic where there was a meeting and I got to bring my family. I met the CEO and he seemed inherently concerned about my experience with ABTRS and wanted to know how my relationship with my family and friends was going now that I am sober. Sometimes it is hard to remain sober because my friends all drink and go out, finding a community that doesn't need to get wasted to have a good time is refreshing. Really, ABTRS is big enough as a company for doing things the right way, but small enough to care deeply for their clients long after graduation. I am 3 years and 4 months sober and proud of it!
