Just came back from the best long weekend I have ever experienced. Stayed at Prescott House where the room was top quality; spacious and tasteful. Best sleep ...not sure if it’s the Saranac Lake air or the comfortable bedding. There’s lots of space outside my room to sit and relax, the grounds are stunning and quant coffee shops and restaurants nearby. Hiking up Mount Apersand, swimming in the lake, taking out a pontoon. Prescott House was perfectly situated for all activities. Numerous hiking guide books available in the lounge , staff very helpful always one step ahead of my needs. I can not recommend this more for anyone wanting to enjoy the outdoors in one of the best spots in upstate New York. Can’t wait for my. Ext visit.
Definitely great at combining 12-step and holistic treatments, it's not an all or nothing approach, and each person is treated uniquely. It's also a pretty affordable facility as well. It's a nice environment in general, but some of the furnishings are a bit dated. This was my 3rd attempt at treatment, and it was way different than the first 2 places I went. From the first day I was treated as a unique individual and was introduced to new recovery approaches in a way that seemed very inviting. They also went beyond just treatment and helped me focus on life issues that were causing me problems too!
