The therapists are really good. I asked them to contact my mum and we did same family sessions. I needed to know how to talk to her without it escalating so that was really really helpful. Probably the best thing for our relationship. The recreational activities are phenomenal. I got to learn to Scuba dive while I was too (For free).

Don’t waste your money. No communication little support will grab your money and your throw you out. With no communication and will be your fault. Way better facilities in Thailand

I’m extremely disappointed with Dara. My loved one was discharged and went on a bender in Bangkok, no assistance no compassion and I’ve trusted this establishment and spent over 50k. If I’d read Brian’s reviews I would Never of sent my son. Dejavue, thank goodness another facility was way More supportive and comumiticave don’t waste your money at Dara

I am totally dissatisfied with Dara; my son was a patient there for a few days, but was thrown out because he had sex with a girl; ok, I understand that this was against the rules, but throwing a sick patient out of the clinic without noticing the family is totally outrageous; they could have kept him there for another 24h and I could have gotten there to take him; but no...they just thrown him out like a dog and I only found out about this 2 days later... if this is the way they treat sick patients...

My wife came to Dara in January 2018 and had a return visit in a May, for alcohol treatment. She’s currently taking psych meds that I think need to be adjusted. Dara is not capable of doing this. They can only dispense medications. I believe this is half of her problem and Dara isn’t qualified to make any medication changes. Alcoholism has led to marital difficulties. After my wife completed her second visit to Dara, she left rehab with two other women from Dara and went on a drunken bender in Bangkok. I question what type of rehab this is and how successful they are given my current situation. I hope for everyone’s sake my situation is unique and this is common. It’s been several days and family hasn’t been unsuccessful in getting my wife to return home. I question what her mental state was when she left, because the next day she’s suicidal and intoxicated. I understand that everyone is responsible for their own decisions. My disappointment is that I contacted Dara for assistance with me Wife. I was told her team was notified and attempted to contact my wife. She’s been hold up in a hotel for a few days now. I’ve tried what limited resources that I could. I want some assistance in calling the hotel to Check her welfare. My wife is depressed, suicidal and drinking. No one from Dara contacted the hotel to check on my wife. I request her counselor call me and I provided my number. I have not received a call. To say I’m disappointed in Dara is an understatement. I keep my fingers crossed that my wife comes to her senses and gets on a plane back to the states before she harms herself or someone harms her. She is in a very vulnerable state and it’s alarming I cant even get a phone call. Don’t waste your money here. Do some research and make sure you find a rehab with the proper medical staff, including Accredited Doctors. I pray my wife comes home safe. So much for a trip to rehab and achieving sobriety.
