Asana Recovery Alcohol And Drug Treatment Program

1730 Pomona Ave, Suite 3 , Costa Mesa, California, 92627
Asana Recovery is a family owned alcohol and drug recovery program located in Costa Mesa, California just a couple miles from the Orange County coastline. The program is state licensed and nationally accredited for medical detoxification, inpatient and outpatient substance abuse treatment. Utilizing evidence based practices and harm reduction techniques, our management and clinical staff include some of the most experienced and accomplished addiction treatment professionals in the industry. Providing empathetic support for clients entering treatment whether it is their first or umpteenth episode is our specialty. The “Asana Way” focuses on providing personalized and comprehensive treatment plans for both men and women in recovery. It embodies our forward-thinking approach to the treatment of addiction, pairing traditional and alternative methods, and serving all clients with compassion, while providing appropriate structure and practicing essential values in work and in play. Treatment planning begins immediately upon admission and during detoxification with involvement in individual and group therapy sessions and case management. Medication assisted detoxification, or detox, from opiates, alcohol and/or other drugs is managed closely by the onsite medical team to ensure client safety and comfort. Non-traditional detox protocols are often implemented to better match each client’s uniqueness. Daily treatment programming is specifically geared towards addressing underlying issues driving the addiction while also developing recovery tools. Group therapy is interwoven between individual and family sessions. Therapy modalities can include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Traditional 12-Step and Self-Management and Recovery Training (SMART) groups are attended on a nightly basis. Mindfulness, physical exercise and healthy eating are incorporated into daily treatment programming. Most meals are prepared by an on-site chef with a focus on replenishing basic vitamins and minerals. The nutritionist provides dietary analysis, consulting and meal preparation training. Daily physical activity can range from beach walks to cross fit training to one-on-one boxing with our personal trainers.

Specialization

  • Medical Detoxification

Drugs and alcohol have widespread effects throughout your body, including but not limited to the addiction and/or physical/psychological dependence that develops with substance abuse over time. Many organ systems are affected by addiction and will react to withdrawal. The term “medical detoxification” means that there is a trained and licensed medical professional onsite to monitor your vital signs and protect your physical and emotional health as your body goes through withdrawal.
  • Detox

Though not all rehab facilities offer “medical detoxification,” all people with an addiction to drugs or alcohol will experience intense physical and emotional changes and discomfort as their bodies react to withdrawal of the addictive substance. Many people use the term “detox” to refer to the period of time (ranging from a few days to a week) when the body is reacting to an addict’s decision to stop using.
