I spent two months at Ocean Drive and relapsed almost immediately after leaving their program. Their clinicians are argumentative, inflexible and narrow-minded in their treatment approach. Group therapy sessions were all the same and it felt like their staff was reading from a script. If I had nickel for every time someone said ...and how does that make YOU feel? I would be living a new life. Because their treatment facilities are separate from the residences we spent a good portion of every day stuck in cars in traffic being transported between the two properties. As a result of scheduling, when we werent in traffic we were often left waiting in the lobby of their offices for individual appointments. In addition, the staff didnt respect relationships with family members and were constantly trying to pitch their family program as well as sell expensive ancillary services after I got there. The one positive thing I can say about the program is that the residence facilities were clean and comfortable and the food was spectacular (all meals cooked by private chef).
