When I came to OPR I had zero hope that anything could work for me. However, I was quickly redirected by the amazing staff that recovery is for me, and it is possible. My clinician, not only did she help me, she helped my family as well. From the tech staff, to clinical, director of operations, all the way to the top with the ownership; these people do care and they do love recovery. I\'ve seen their passion, and I have felt their love. And my foundation for Recovery started at OPR and they have been a part of my journey for the 20 months i have sober. From PHP, IOP, to OP and even when I got my own apartment in Florida, Our Place gave me direction and a hand when I needed it. I am forever grateful and every time I land foot back in South Florida I\'ll stop by and share my gratitude to them. Thanks again Our Place for all you did for myself and my family.
Professional staffing, but to strick. This is a very professionally staffed facility and a nice relaxed atmophere. The trust should be more so trusting the patient will meet expectations. Overall, an excellent program.
I'm gonna start off with the lunch ladies Angie and Diana. They really looked out for me. I was like 198lbs when I first got here and now I weigh 220lbs. Nurses Mershawn and Nurse Frankie on the night shift made sure I had all my meds on time and when ever I needed something they were always there. Any time I needed something for my recovery, they were there to help me. I enjoyed the comradery in the groups as well as the interaction with the teachers. I learned a lot from Demitirus and Tony in their groups. I also learned a lot from the Veterans therapist Christine. They were central in my recovery. I'm a marine so I took part in the Veterans program. I also want to include Nigel the program supervisor, Big Frank the TA, and Eldred the TA because they kept everything organized, made sure I went to class, and always check in on me and offered words of encouragement. They showed concern which made me feel supported. I especially liked the gym, it was helpful for my self esteem. I loved the living quarters, they were easy to maintain. I went tot he spa nights and I loved that. I also played pool and went to the gym which was one of my coping skills, it was very therapeutic. River Oaks gave me hope. I only want to do this one time and from what I learned here I feel that its possible. I got the resources that I needed here for a new life and I appreciate everything that everyone did for me as a whole.
