Everything was great - Food, comfort, and having my medications stabilized. The trauma group was great.
Cami has always been real. I respect her a lot. I was in the military and I came here through the VA. When I first got here I was very private. Trina has been a trip and I would recommend her as a therapist to anyone because she's laid back and she's down to earth. Karah is funny and animated, she uses little quirks and it keeps you entertained but is also very informative. Jenn is also great. Some of the techs are PHENOMINAL. 95.99 percent of them are on the money and roll things along handling disputes and they don't judge or take sides. I have the utmost respect for those guys. The laundry, housekeeping were the best, my laundry was always folded neatly. Ms. Angie in the kitchen it my love! She's a doll, I love her to death as well as Orlando! There were times that I felt very depressed, being here I learned about shame and the different aspect of shame. I learned that I can shame myself ad how to reframe it into something positive. I learned so many things that I didn't know which was very rewarding.
I really don\'t know where to start. This has all been so emotional for me. I can\'t thank Beachside enough for what they have given me. Not to get into details but I was able to overcome an obstacle or two in my life beyond just the drinking because of beachsides staff. I was treated with dignity and respect. Just because someone is an addict does give you the right to treat them like a dog. When I pulled up to the \"point house\" I couldn\'t believe it. Being from Indiana I never seen anything so beautiful. In the evening I would sit on the dock and watch the sunset. There are a couple people that I want to give special recognition to for helping me when I needed it most: a male staff member for putting up with me that first week I was here, a woman staff member for always being available, and another male staff memebr for making sure I got there in the first place. There are too many names to mention but everyone was so helpful and professional. A couple things I think they could improve on: more snacks during the day, a little more beach time, ride horses once a week and not every other week. I\'m staying now in the local town of Vero Beach so I can continue my recovery program. Great place to change your life. I would recommend to anyone
