I saw an ad for St Luke\'s in the newspaper. I was at a point in my drinking that I could not stop on my own and the consequences were becoming great. I had lost my job, my boyfriend and myself. I was scared and depressed. I picked up the phone in a moment of courage and called St Luke\'s. A nice counselor listened to me and told me to come, they could help me. I learned how to livd sober at St Lukes. I learned that my life had meaning at St Luke\'s. I learned that God loved me and had a purpose for my life at St Lukes. There was a lot of \"tough love\" at St Lukes. There were a lot of tears and pain but I listened, I felt and I LEARNED HOW TO STAY SOBER! What I thought would be 30 days became 3 months! I was 31 years old at the time and my home was 2 hours from Miami. I started a \"new life\" in Miami. A sober life! For me. I had to change my friends, where I lived and things I did. I was broke. No job and no relatives or friends in Miami. But St Lukes gave me the tools to start over. They help you find housing, a job, support, and most importantly, a spiritual path!! That was 27 years ago and yet it feels like yesterday! (Jorge, Mary and Fr Bill) I live the principals that they taught me and I live a spiritual life. I got my family back, I got the boyfriend back, I have amazing friends, and I got myself back. Call them, they care! Dont wait. Ive lost a lot of people to the disease of addiction. They saved my life, they can save yours!! I will never forget St Lukes.

I felt good there; I thrived and got excited about life again. It has a good reputation, consistently. I didn't take advantage of aftercare options because my husband and children lived in the keys, so I went back home. the anxiety/depression came after this rehab.
