Novus Medical Detox Center

I was a patient at Novus Detox Center back in March. I was mistreated. I was given medicine most commonly given to patients withdrawing from methadone. I asked nurses & as well as techs how & why I was given this medication with no answer from anyone for 4 daysamalcohol & this medicinedays. I am an alcohol & this medicine made me feel like i had drank 2 bottles of vodka. I was falling all over & bouncing again the walls to get to nursing station. Finally upon leaving one nurse said he knew why I was so upset. He said the matter was being taken seriously & had gone as high that the Director was involved. I have proof of this “ mistake “ . I urge anyone thinking about Novus Detox for help look elsewhere, Kathleen Olsen

I came to novus about a year and a half ago. Everything i read about them on their website just isn’t true. This place is a BUSINESS and they make their money off of you. There are no individualized treatment plans. Everything goes through the same detox process and if you complain about certain symptoms they give you “medicine” so you’re not uncomfortable. the entire detox stay, you are on some kind of medication. and when it’s time to go home, you ILL withdrawal. it’s unfortunate that they make it seem like you’re 99% good when you leave. lies. Not only that, most of their staff is atrocious. Particularly the gals working at the front desk. From my experience i’d highly recommend going elsewhere to detox.
