ABOUT BANYAN TREATMENT CENTER
Located in a quiet residential neighborhood in the resort town of Pompano Beach, Fla., the Banyan Treatment Center provides a partial hospitalization program (PHP) and intensive outpatient programming.
TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT
Treatment begins with an intake assessment to determine the needed level of treatment.
Clients enrolled in the PHP track will have 24-hour support and will participate in daily therapy sessions and groups. Those in IOP will attend therapy three to five days per week.
Banyan Treatment Center's treatment modalities include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing (MI), and more. Clients will participate in 12-step programming, and relapse prevention training. Family programming is also available.
The center is also one of the 76 (11.4 percent) of Florida treatment facilities to offer acupuncture, as well as other holistic treatments like chiropractic services, and biofeedback.
The center offers a specialized faith-based treatment track complete with individual Biblical counseling, meditation, and more.
Following treatment, clients can participate in alumni services which include outings to movies, bowling, hiking, and other activities.
STAFF CREDENTIALS
Banyan Treatment Center is one of the 203 (30.4 percent) of Florida treatment facilities accredited by The Joint Commission. The center employs master’s level therapists, a director of nursing, and more.
ACCOMMODATIONS & AMENITIES
The 140-bed facility is modern and set on a property with a manicured lawn. The location makes it perfect for the clients to take advantage of the nearby beach.
WHAT ALUMNI SAY
At the time of this writing, Rehabs.com has received feedback from dozens of former clients who reported both positive and negative experiences. The 26 reviewers who were asked about cleanliness all gave five out of five stars while most the rest of the 15 metrics scored received four- or five-star ratings. The only exception was 12-step inclusion which received several two- and three-star ratings.
Alum L.M. was blunt with their feedback, simply stating “Worst place ever,” and Jess elaborated slightly with “I was fooled by their marketer. This place is trash.” In a more encompassing review, Bert wrote: “They will do everything in their power to make sure you don't leave so they can keep collecting your insurance money,” and added, “If you are serious about getting help do not come to banyan because you will just be pushed off like you don't matter.”
Those who enjoyed their stay mostly attributed it to the “Great and caring staff” and “multiple treatment options.”

At the time of this writing, 13 staff members responding to a Rehabs.com poll gave mostly positive reviews of Banyan Treatment Center. Overall, staffers awarded mostly four and five out of five stars for all 15 categories surveyed. Staff members praised treatment methods and professional staff.
"Yes, the facility offers excellent amenities and is extremely comfortable, but that is nothing in comparison to the healing it offers through the genuine desire on the hearts of the men and women who live out their purpose there daily," wrote Robert in a representative review.

FINANCING
Banyan Treatment Center accepts most major health insurances, including Aetna, Cigna, and Blue Cross Blue Shield. The facility’s website offers an insurance verification service. The center is one of the 463 (69.3 percent) of Florida treatment facilities to accept private insurance plans.
