Next Generation Village takes the guesswork out of recovery by using a scientifically-proven method — what we call the three-pronged approach — to treat teen addictions and ensure a long lasting recovery. Dual Diagnosis/Co-occurring Disorders Treatment
These two terms describe a person who is not only addicted to drugs or alcohol, but also has a mental or emotional illness, such as depression, anxiety, ADHD, etc. Next Generation Village treats patients with dual-diagnosis or co-occurring disorders by providing psychiatric treatment simultaneously to that of addiction treatment to ensure long-lasting recovery.Family Program
Family and parental support are an integral part of the teen addiction treatment process. Parents and teens will participate in weekly family therapy to work through the recovery process together and heal from past negative familial relationships.

- Dr. James DruryMedical DirectorDr. Drury has been involved in the care and treatment of children, adolescents and adults with mental health and substance abuse issues for over 30 years as a psychiatric attendant, registered nurse, and psychiatrist. He is actively involved in the care and treatment of his patients and utilizes evidence-based practices and treatments that address the unique behavioral, emotional and psychiatric issues associated with substance use disorder. He graduated from New York College of Osteopathic Medicine and holds a faculty appointment with Jerry M. Wallace, School of Osteopathic Medicine at Campbell University. He has helped his patients in inpatient, outpatient and forensic setting in inner cities as well as rural clinics in various states. He strongly believes in empowering his patients to become the best that they can be in all aspects of their future endeavors and their abilities to, “Make it a better day”!
- Brandi Filppula, RNDirector of AdmissionsBrandi has been working as a Registered Nurse for over 10 years. She graduated from South Florida State College in 2005 with an Associate Degree in nursing, and is now pursuing her Bachelor’s Degree there also. Most of her nursing career has been hospital based focusing on critical care in emergency departments. Her career ambitions changed after her struggle with addiction, which led to seeking employment with the addiction population. She values the opportunity to develop relationships with patients and families while introducing them to this life changing opportunity. Her goal is to facilitate a seamless transition from home into a recovery community.
