My name is Saleem, I'm 37 and have been battling addiction for the better part of the last 20 years of my life I have been to a total of 8 treatment centers over the course of the 20 years and I've tried to get sober numerous times..... I came to Banyan Treatment Center Florida January of 2016, I'm not writing this post because I'm getting paid or because somebody coerced me to do so I'm writing this because this is the least that I owe my Banyan family for what they've done for me and the countless others. From the minute I stepped foot through the front doors it was an experience unlike any others I've ever had, the people in admissions the therapist, all the way up to upper management immediately showed genuine care make sure that you knew that they were there to support you throughout your stay and made sure you wanted for nothing in any Department so you were able to gain the tools the knowledge and get your feet underneath of you and be prepared for the next step in your journey. Unfortunately I have been to a number of treatment centers and it's not about the amenities that you're going to be surrounded by War the activities you're able to be involved with it is about the level of care you receive the love and the support that you need to focus on what you have to do two men wounds stand back up on your feet and be able to push forward and fight the good fight that you're up against I said that to say this they do have a very nice facility and everything you're reading about that they have as far as amenities is 100% true they do have it, but I said that to say this it's not about the amenities these people come to work every day with the intent the compassion and the heart to help the next human being get their life back make no mistake I have never been to a place and been successful and Banyan was able to give me my life back. And even after leaving Banyan the alumni coordinators are some of the best people I've come in contact with down here they make an effort every week to at least talk to you one time they hold alumni meetings after hours every two weeks and throw events all the time the entire Banyan family is one of a kind and something I've never experienced before I'm proud to be part of their family and without them I wouldn't be alive today thank you guys......
During my time at GBR I met some of the most amazing people. Everyone is wonderful and the counselors truly care about your recovery. The staff does a great job of making sure you are well taken care of, safe, and feel comfortable throughout your eight weeks. The nursing staff is the bomb. They make sure that you stay totally comfortable when you are in detox by checking in on you often and seeing if you need anything at all from them. They are compassionate and kind. The chefs will not let you go hungry. The food is amazing! Overall my experience was great and I would recommend GBR to anyone who is struggling with addiction.
Wide array of treatment options, some very good staff and counselors. The kitchen staff was very accommodating to my special dietary needs. They were helpful in setting up aftercare and have been good in following up with myself and family. Good techs and counselors offered a variety of treatment options to explore. Facility felt like being in a nursing home/hospital
