Providence is where it’s at. I am a 24 year old young woman from a small town in northern Indiana. At the age of 23 I was a alcoholic and an addict.I hit a point in my life where I hated myself and my life and just didn’t want to be here anymore. When I arrived I was so broken and lost just all around a mess. They gave me the will to live again made me realize that a clear mind and a sober life would get me way farther in life then what I was doing. Providence help me to put my faith back in my maker and not in the things of this world. The people there are one of the most loving and genuine ones I have ever met in my life. They want what is best for you they want your recovery to work. They will help you to find yourself give you the tools classes help you to stay sober. This place with forever be my home away from home my saving grace.Providence gives lives back
Bethesda being a spiritual program based on biblical principles, while also incorporating other recovery steps, caught my attention. Also, the constant contact with the director, building a "trusting" relationship before my arrival, helped my final decision. My experience was not an easy one to say the least but extremely effective at Bethesda Recovery. I gained a true identity, not per say an "addict" in recovery. I was and still being restored to hopes, dreams, family and friends. Learning about Jesus Christ, and the Twelve Gates( part of this program) I found life and a future. I continue to live drug/alcohol free, and still very much affiliated with Bethesda Recovery. I strive to give back as much as they have given me. A new life.
Yet another in a long list of facilities that claim to do something different but offer the same ole thing.30 days of meetings, my son only saw a doctor once in 3 weeks and a counselor twice. At $1000 a day I was expecting real treatment from real doctors. He can go to 12 step meetings anywhere for free.
