Strengths include Rules Meals Group meetings Medical needs. Weaknesses: no family allowed to visit I went here but it didn't stay longer than a month because of the fact that my child could not stay with me. They should allow mother and her children the help both need
Friendly surroundings and positive attitudes. They had great class sessions. The only downfall I found was the location of the facility.
Deeply compassionate and well trained staff, offering a very effective yet unique approach. Wish it was available in more locations. When I placed my son in the Exclusive Hawaii program, I was feeling very afraid. He seemed so troubled and so distant for so many years that I doubted that I would ever be able to have a meaningful relationship with him again. Toward the end of his 30 day stay, I went to the center and spent a couple of days going through the process with him. It was not easy... he had a lot of anger with me and they helped him to release that anger by allowing him the safe space to hurl his intense feelings and rage directly at me. I was stunned, but as I sat in that line of fire with openness and a willingness to hear him (with a lot of help and coaching from the treatment staff) I was amazed to observe him go through a transition from deep wounding and pain to a place of re connection and love. Four years later that love is still present and he is sober and moving forward in many positive ways. I am so grateful!
