I attended Walker Center over 10 years ago and it was such a magical program I actually went to college to be a drug and alcohol counselor however my addiction got back away with me 5 years after I had went so I came back hoping for the same magical experience however this time it has changed a great deal it took me months to get in and then once I got in we didn't really do nothing on programming we never did anything outside they just have us walk around the track a lot of the nurses had favorites and they treat you bad I had a roommate that didn't like me they threw me out for a pill on my bathroom floor that I was prescribed that they allowed in with my makeup bag which I don't know how it got there I am still seeking for help I really need it I tried to check into their outpatient program when I got back to Twin Falls Idaho and they also would not help me so I don't recommend the Walker Center to anyone who seriously needs help unless you have self pay.I begged to stay, they still shoved me out the door. Thanks walker center team. To bad only one of you got to meet me, you didn't even know me yet made a decision that is affecting my life in a way know one could ever understand.

My son has severe mental health and addiction issues got scared and left wanted to come back within a few hours and was denied. For a place that deals with mental health issues this was sad. Especially with a price tag of $32,000. So- it is more about the money than the patient - F- in my book. Not such a caring facility.

Almost two years sober. Very grateful. Walker gave me the tools for recovery. Don’t go if not committed to the process. Not perfect. But I’m not either. I recommend the place without reservation. Meetings alone or outpatient care likely would not have been successful for me.

This place is a joke! Had a girlfriend and in desperation to fix her alcohol problem took her to Walker Center of Gooding. If you are gonna charge someone 18,000 dollars and think that you can fix a alcoholic by just taking alcohol away for 28 days and give them some activities and classes. Would have been better off her getting her 4th DUI. First off the detox almost killed her because of people not knowing what there doing. As in reading there heart rate as there blood pressure and vice versa. Then the activities and some classes are ran as co sex meaning the Male addicts are joined in with the female addicts. There is plenty wrong with that alone. With today's society girls/boys alot of them are dependent on attention and emotions. You got coed swimming together, exercising together, having water fights, ect. People need to be focusing on recovery not on play time with joint genders. So now you got coed addicts playing in the water going on hikes together and then when they get caught sneaking off to have sex they get kicked out. That is a problem. Because this facility put them in those situations. There is multiple types of addictions it's more than just alcohol, or drugs. These people need the right placements without distractions. Then to top off the amazing job these people did with my girlfriend is they told her she should break off her relationship.. excuse me. I took her there so she could get better so I can make her a wife. I wanted the help for her. Who are you to tell her she needs to end her relationship with a guy that only wants the best for her? Like I said this place is the biggest joke ever! She went in drunk and the first day out of completing there rehab.... still drinking. If I was the one that paid for it I would take this place down cuz that is a ton of money to waist on nothing. Like they're motto. It's a addiction center ran by addicts. It's a joke.
