We are a Holistic Addictions Treatment Center for men and women. We offer an excellent mix of traditional evidence based therapies in conjunction with outdoor experiential. Nature does much of the heavy lifting at Top of the World Ranch. We are not a traditional 12 step treatment center, but see great value in the 12 steps as part of our clients and our own recovery. We attend a variety of meetings weekly. We offer 315 acres of rolling forested land coupled with outdoor enhancements. We see growth in recovery as being both incremental and having opportunity for cathartic shifts to take place. We create fertile ground for both. We have purpose built a brand new all private rooms residence for 24 clients. We know the value of contemplative and private time coupled with the intensity of our full interactive program. Family Program
Research shows that the odds of successful, sustained recovery from addiction are far higher when family members and loved ones are involved in treatment. Drug and alcohol addiction often have genetic roots, whether related to substance abuse, mental illness or both. Family dynamics also play a role and, often, family members are the first to realize a loved one has developed an addiction. Also, it’s important for family members to understand and embrace the lifestyle changes that are required to sustain recovery.Medical Detoxification
Drugs and alcohol have widespread effects throughout your body, including but not limited to the addiction and/or physical/psychological dependence that develops with substance abuse over time. Many organ systems are affected by addiction and will react to withdrawal. The term “medical detoxification” means that there is a trained and licensed medical professional onsite to monitor your vital signs and protect your physical and emotional health as your body goes through withdrawal.

I saw the reality of my addiction, I saw the damage that I was causing, I suddenly understood that the problems I drank about were not outside me – the problem was me – and that the change that was needed had to be me. Chaos turned into purpose and meaning. We opened our doors in BC Canada in 2005 and have taken our excellent program to our center in Milan IL- Dr. Aggie WaterstreetPsy.DDr. Aggie Waterstreet, Psy.D., LMFT, CADC, AAMFT Approved Supervisor, is a Certified Addiction and Drug Counselor with over 30 years’ experience in the substance abuse and mental health field. Dr. Waterstreet has held serval leadership roles including Executive Director at United Health Care; and Program Coordinator at Riverside Substance abuse treatment facility.
