You cannot put a price tag on a better life and contentment. I have a life today that was beyond a dream for me before I came into treatment. I would recommend anyone struggling to come and give yourself the chance to be free from the shackles of addiction. There's not a day that goes by that I don't think about or use the tools I learned at the Liberty Ranch. I am eternally in debt, and grateful for the life I have today and it is a direct result of the time and patience the residents and staff at the Liberty Ranch were willing to give to me. Many people get sober in many ways, but I am truly blessed that I made the decision to come here and change my life. I had spent the better part of the past 20 years in and out of AA, NA, CR, detox facilities and jail. I was addicted to cocaine and opiates and was using them both intravenously. I lost custody of my child, lost faith and trust from family and friends because of all the dishonest and selfish ways I hurt and stole from them. I literally wanted to die but was too afraid to end my own life. My life defined in two words was chaos and misery. The Liberty Ranch taught me how to live life again; how to level my pride, how to walk through fear, the importance of honesty, how to be self sufficient, and gave me the gift of a conscience and caring about others. And it's because of those things I stay sober today. The time and patience that staff is willing to give in dissecting the disease of addiction and how it manifests itself in our lives is unparalleled. As a graduate of the program I now have almost 2 years of sobriety, I get to see my daughter and spend as much time as I want with her and be the father she deserves. I've worked the 12 steps and have a sponsor, and I currently have 6 sponsees whom I am guiding through the 12 steps as well. I live in my own place, I pay my own bills, and I am generally happy and content, but the big difference now is that when I'm not, and life throws curveballs at me, I know how to handle and how to deal with life on life's terms. Anyone who wants a better life than what they have, I would encourage you to take that first step and ask for help it is achievable. For me, I don't think I could've gotten sober anywhere else.
They are very disiplined with the patients but also fair as well. They were always kind, & understanding. I think they should allow family more than once a week visiting.
friendly employees that try to understand and help are a strength. Weaknesses: just conuseling my friend got clean, and I hope they stay that way for their kids
