Frederick Goggans, MDMedical Director, Borden Cottage, Lecturer, Harvard Medical SchoolDr. Goggans oversees a team of professionals providing residential treatment for patients with alcohol and other addictions, many of whom present with co-occurring psychiatric disorders. He is a distinguished life fellow of the American Psychiatric Association and a lecturer on psychiatry at Harvard Medical School.- Roger D. Weiss, MDChief, Division of Alcohol and Drug Abuse; Director, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Clinical Research Program, Professor of Psychiatry, Harvard Medical SchoolDr. Weiss’ career has focused on treatment and clinical research with substance-dependent patients. He has received numerous NIH grants, developing integrated group therapy, an evidence-based treatment for co-occurring bipolar and substance use disorders, and leading a multi-site treatment study of prescription opioid dependence. He has authored over 300 publications, including several books, and was vice chair of the American Psychiatric Association Task Force on Practice Guidelines for Patients with Substance Use Disorders.
