I was told before booking my flight and planning for the trip that my insurance had been approved and I would be staying for 30 days, was told I’d spend approximately 2 to 3 days in detox. Got there and 3 days later was told my insurance wouldn’t pay for tje 30 days, only for 7 days in detox. Had to rebook my round trip ticket and was charged over $150 just for changing dates. Stayed in detox the entire time, which means I ate and slept for 7 days. Have called numerous times and apparently there is no one in charge of any of these facilities because they continue to transfer your calls to a recording that doesn’t have a directory. I have asked the 2 people I’ve spoken to, who I could speak to about being reimbursed the $918.00 out of pocket travel fees I incurred. Will not gift me a name or phone number to anyone in management or customer service. They lied to me and wasted my time, money and most of all the chance to turn my life around. You see, I’ve had this addiction for a long time and no one to help. I finally, stepped out in faith and asked for help and they failed me and show no concern for me at all. They only wanted money, money, money!!!! No concern for the individual. As for the staff at the recovery center, they were very kind and caring. As for Chris and John, if that’s truly their names, they are rude, uncaring and very unprofessional.
I spent 30 days here and had a great therapist but often groups were facilitated by instructors who were underprepared. You have a lot of unstructured free time that could be used for programming. I relapsed and went back to a different rehab (Swift River) and did much better there. Unfortunately, Spring Hill staff has been calling and texting me over and over again ever since, despite the fact that I have told them many times I decided to go to Swift River instead of choosing Spring Hill. They even called my father several times as I had listed him as my emergency contact. When I finally called to ask that they stop calling me and my father I was accused of lying about being in a different treatment center and hung up on. I finally wrote this review because I could not find another way of making the phone calls stop. Clearly they are hurting for business, but as a person in recovery this hounding made me feel used.
