Naukeag was live saving and empowering! The staff is second to none, they teach you how to handle life WITHOUT alcohol/drugs. The sleeping accommodations are 2 in a room, very comfortable and the food was outstanding! I loved that fresh fruit was available 24/7. The lessons I learned at Naukeag I will take with me forever,Naukeag is now a part of my soul. As a group you are referred to as a \"community\" and you truly do become a part of the community, I made life long friends and we continue to support each other. I just can\'t say enough good things. 5 stars to the entire staff!!!! They give total support!!!!
I spent 30 days here and had a great therapist but often groups were facilitated by instructors who were underprepared. You have a lot of unstructured free time that could be used for programming. I relapsed and went back to a different rehab (Swift River) and did much better there. Unfortunately, Spring Hill staff has been calling and texting me over and over again ever since, despite the fact that I have told them many times I decided to go to Swift River instead of choosing Spring Hill. They even called my father several times as I had listed him as my emergency contact. When I finally called to ask that they stop calling me and my father I was accused of lying about being in a different treatment center and hung up on. I finally wrote this review because I could not find another way of making the phone calls stop. Clearly they are hurting for business, but as a person in recovery this hounding made me feel used.
This is a very well-run program for men and women in recovery. I cannot speak highly enough of their organization. Thank you.
