I spent 30 days here about 7 years ago. It was my first detox, first program, first time going to AA ... I met some incredible people here. Some of them have made it, some have not. I pray for all of them. I am finally sober just over a year this month, and the things I learned through this program really touched my life in a major way. I still remember so many things, and how they helped me to where I am today. I would recommend this program to anyone who needs help with substance/alcohol abuse or with complicated mental health tendencies!
Good program that offers structure and flexibility. We take special trips once a month (bowling, movies, swimming, ect). Safe environment that has 2 mother's rooms for infants. On site cook that takes allergies and special diets seriously.
The staff from he time I called, to the maintenance workers, to the counselors are extremely helpful and go out of their way to treat people with respect and most will go the extra mile to help, and the doctors are kind and respectful and will answer questions in a way that the regular people can understand. The only complaints I have is the cleaning lady on 3 east and even more so is the kitchen worker Joanne or Joanna has a negative attitude and has no business working in this facility, other than that the staff is great and amazing. As far as the new owners they are running this place more and more like the department of corrections and wish they would stay in Tennessee, and let Adcare run the way it’s been running the last 50yrs and make it about the patients and not about the money the way it s today…..
