I am still not sure how this little Cajun girl from New Orleans, LA ended up in Marne, Michigan, but I am so glad that I decided to come here. The programs were great - it was nice to be able to choose the ones that best fit my needs and work out a treatment plan accordingly. I also loved the different levels of treatment and the ability to move up in the program, because it gave me a more immediate goal to work on while I was here. The food was excellent and nutritious, most of the staff was very nice, and the facilitators were extremely knowledgeable. On top of everything else, I made some really great friendships that I hope will last a lifetime.
Their website layout is good and easy to use. The specific care they dedicate to women is wonderful. I can't think of any weaknesses. It's a great facility. My sister admitted she had a problem not too long ago and Sacred Heart was recommended to us and we are so glad it was. They treated her with kindness and understanding. She came out with such a strong will to stay on the right track. We are so thankful for Sacred Heart.
I know it's different for everyone who has to go to rehab. I struggled a lot during my program though. It was really hard for me and I only was able to stick with it and actually do the program was because of the staff there. The help I received at GLR was amazing though. They were very throughout and made sure I did the program right. It's why I'm still clean today. They staff there are well trained and just as importantly, they are committed to helping people. There were a lot of times during my program when I wanted to give up and it's only because of the staff there that I didn't. They have different programs available so everyone does a program that benefits them. It's not a 30 day program or a 6 month program. You're there for however long you need to be whether that's one month or 9. They have yoga classes, art therapy and music therapy which helped me a lot during my program. While all of the staff there are well trained and dedicated they could use more staff.
