Loved one enjoyed the meal plan. No support for patients who are disoriented. It was a great facility but the patients can get abusive and in your face. Loved one was approached by prisoners while disoriented and was intimidated.
Evey day at the D-House was the best day ever. Loving staff that truly care about you and the food is simply the very best. Very nice rooms with plenty of storage with comfy beds. Movie nights, volleyball, outside fire pit, ping pong, corn hole, horse shoes, gardening, they even took us bowling. Excellent groups to open up. Very safe place to get the best help. For me its a magic house. Forever changed my life.
First of all, Serenity Point has showed me what it is like to actually be alive. I don't mean alive as in just going through daily motions. I mean what it's like to genuinely laugh again! to feel true emotions in a clear mind state. Emotions that I forgot about I can now experience with a clean, clear, sober mind. From the moment I got out of the car I was immediately welcomed and made very comfortable. I've went through just about every group here and I can say each and every one of the groups have something positive to offer no matter your situation. Not to mention that the staff and facilitators make it a very personal experience. I have grown very close with so many people here, both peers and staff. Came in looking to fix one thing and gained and learned more than I could have imagined. Had rough days and everybody made those days way easier to cope with. I truly am going to miss this place and am grateful for all I've gained from my experience here. Bittersweet is all I can say in my final days here. Highly recommend.
