About Henry Ford Maplegrove Center
Maplegrove Center views addiction as a primary illness that impacts the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health of patients and their families. Addiction is a progressive illness that deteriorates health, compromises personal values, and affects our responsibilities as an adult, adolescent, spouse, parent, student, employee and participant in society. Inherited biological factors can influence addiction. However, addiction also develops over time as a result of social, physical and psychological influence. Without intervention, addiction becomes uncontrolled and potentially fatal.
