Was singled out by E for being tired in class. Half the class was nodding out on medication given to us by np. Threatened daily to be kicked out and was once. Wanted to come forward about relapse but E made it impossible with constant threats

They medicate you through withdrawal and plenty of food and drink. Staff is not able to help with ur symptoms. I was a patient there in 99 and my daughter last year and nothing has changed

I just underwent a nearly life threatening experience at Shepherd Hill in Newark, Ohio. I went there having tried to taper off suboxone for several months. I had gotten down to a sixth of an 8mg strip per day. Upon arrival I was immediately pitched a monitored taper of the same. However they prescribed two full strips per day. Their reply to my disbelief was something along the lines of " are you willing to take direction?"  I consented but said it was too much, I mean 12 times the dosage I was taking off the street!? They reduced it to 1 1/2 per day or 9x my usual dosage. My first dosage and I was feeling real good. As much as I liked it, it wasn't what I came for. I ended up being lambasted about erratic behavior and opted to leave. I had not had a bowell movement for the two weeks I was there and for a week after I left. They were condemning and hurtful. I followed all directions. The worst part was that after increasing my dosage, they refused to give me enough to taper back down so that I now faced withdrawal from a much higher dose. Needless to say it was awful. Please help to ensure no one else has to endure such gross negligence.
