I was a client at avenues for 6 months. I found it to be professionally run by caring people. Right now I have 1 year clean with more to go.my counselor was crummy but all the others were good, don't worry he has since left.the living arrangements were fine and the food they provided was sufficient. You cooked for yourself. When the young guys cooked you got hot dogs and burgers .when the older ones cooked you ate salmon, pork shoulders, pork chops etc. It was hit or miss but never bad. Plus you could make what you wanted. The patient techs were good and helpful. One in particular pat would literally go to the ends of the earth to help you. Gotta love the guys genuiness and caring demeanor. The housing manager devin was really good also. Sadly I've been in quite a few rehabs and I would rate avenues an 8 out of 10. I would recommend it to family and friends. I learned alot there which helps me now.you can only get better coming here. Jamie lorber
There were many young (18 to 20s) people at this facility. As an older (late 40s) person, I felt that much time was wasted on policing immature adults and less focus on treatment. Strengths were the caring staff and the clean facility. A weakness was the individual treatment.
Strengths: Art and Yoga. Comfortable rooms (the best of any rehab I've ever been). Weaknesses: Disorganization in admissions. Nurses not on the same page. RSS staff not all on the same page. Lack of little toiletry kits for new admits.
