My husband and I have been going to BHG Knoxville for 3 years. We’ve had negative screens for 2 +years. Since January my husband has been testing positive for Fentanyl and I have been since march. Although we’ve never used fentanyl, our codes were changed from monthly to daily. We pay out of pocket for the treatment and takes 3 hours out of our mornings in addition the extra gas it cost. Of course being innocent means nothing to them or our sobriety. Investigation has shown multiple patients experiencing the same problem. Filled out multiple grievances that aren’t even reviewed. The choice we have is to change to a further location or wean off of the methadone. Is that really an option? Really? Of course not. So I am continuing my investigation to hopefully have a positive outcome. Any advice??

bhg seemed ok until covid started in 2020. by may of 2020 my U/A tests starting coming back inaccurate. ex: i tested positive on a mday and negative on a thur. naturally, us the clients are the ones looked at as being the liars. they put me on observed U/A testing for a yr with my screeenings being innacurate more routinely. after a while I noticed I was failing tests during the only time in which they werent observed. to most ppl thats a red flag bc its the opposite of what someone trying to cheat a urine test would do. it go to the point where i quit debating the dirty drug tests. I just told my counselors that i slipped up bc if I didnt lie about it they would just assume I was in denial and lying anyway. Evidently after a Year of losing my takehome priveledges monthly, Im guessimg more ppl came forward so they changed labs. keep in mind if you fail a drug test its a $60 charge on top of the $120 weekly cost plus time and gas. I wasnt expecting $$ back but maybe a sorry and we will try to do better would be something. once the new lab started testing, I passed 3 drug tests in a rown until my monthly test came up on a mday and my med count came up on the following day which was a tuesday. so my mdays test was positive and my tues test came back negative. theres no possible was this can happen. the nurses agreed with me and they agreed but i would still be punished. all i can say is if you dont mind paying $160 a week for the service you do get to keep from being sick but I gave them 1 yr to get it together and they still havent. its kept me from getting jobs and became a real hassle in life. ppl go there to get clean and the only reward you get for staying clean is take home privledges so if theyre gonna strip you grom that along with an extra $40 a week for a lab who cant get their testing correct then go ahead. i refuse to give this facility another penny
