    Because cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is an efficient short-term therapy with self-help applications, it's an effective approach to use with emerging adults.

    Dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) is a synthesis of several treatment modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness exercises, talking therapy, and psycho-educational skill building. This synthesis of approaches is highly effective in addressing borderline personality disorder and other issues.

  • Gayle Jensen-Savoie, Ph.D., LPC, LMFT, LCDC
    Gayle Jensen-Savoie, Ph.D., LPC, LMFT, LCDCExecutive Director
    Gayle received her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology with a Minor in Women's Studies from Southern Methodist University. Her Master of Arts degree is in Clinical and Counseling Psychology, and her Doctorate is in General Psychology. Gayle comes to Fulshear with over 20 years experience in the hospital and behavioral health care industries. Most recently, Gayle was the Director of Behavioral Medicine at the Seay Behavioral Health Center/Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital of Plano, Texas. Prior to this she was Director of Mental Health Services at Baylor Richardson Medical Center and served as Clinical Director for Baylor-Parkside Lodge.

    Kevin Randall, LMFTClinical Director
    Kevin earned his Master of Science degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at the University of Nebraska. Over the past decade Kevin has worked with clients in outpatient mental health, residential treatment, and in the homes of families as they transitioned from treatment back to their home. Kevin has worked with a broad range of clients experiencing issues related to personality disorders, mood disorders, trauma, eating disorders, and family relationship issues. Kevin is especially passionate about the work that can be done with an entire family in creating permanent, positive change. Kevin has been trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). Most recently Kevin has worked at New Haven RTC, a sister program to Fulshear.
