Treatment Philosophy
At Greenhouse, we serve the greater Dallas area and beyond from our Grand Prairie facility. We know firsthand that one size does not fit all when it comes to addiction treatment, especially considering that many of our own staff members are in recovery themselves. Every person’s journey to recovery is unique. That’s why we offer individualized treatment plans and many levels of care, from inpatient medical detox where—where you can detox from any substances on which you’re physically dependent, in a safe and medically monitored environment—all the way to outpatient therapy. Based on your progress in treatment, you may adjust your plan as needed, moving between levels of care as necessary to ensure you’re getting the most out of your time at Greenhouse. Recovery from drug and alcohol addiction involves much more than detox. It requires new ways of thinking and new coping skills. Our program in Grand Prairie Texas includes numerous proven therapies to help you delve into the reasons behind your substance use, adjust harmful beliefs, uncover your motivations for getting sober, and learn new ways to cope that don’t involve substances. Our program also includes many expressive, recreational, and holistic therapies to introduce you to healthy ways to alleviate anxiety and help you learn to live a fulfilling life without drugs and alcohol. Your first step in your recovery journey is one of the most important steps you can take in your life. We make it easy to say yes to getting help by offering a range of features and amenities that will make your time in treatment comfortable, to help you heal your body (for example with chef-prepared balanced meals), and to allow you to focus entirely on what is most important: your recovery. Our wide range of features and benefits includes yoga classes, an indoor heated pool, a nutritionist, a meditation garden and bio-sound therapy available onsite for an additional fee, and more.

They have a wonderful 12 step program and most of their staff are certified. They could have a more outdoor activities. I think its a good place to take your loved ones plenty of indoor activities and ways to communicate to the outside world, plus their programs are aimed to better your life and help you resist your addictions.

How to Find Alcohol Addiction Treatment in San Antonio

Whether you’re commuting or staying in a residential or inpatient rehab, locals will find San Antonio’s facilities accessible. Depending on your needs, you may find yourself in a variety of treatment tracks, such as medical detox, residential rehab, or outpatient programming. Some facilities also offer various types of holistic, recreational, and experiential therapies.

Many may travel for alcohol rehab. While this may seem intimidating at first, traveling for addiction treatment could be beneficial for recovery in the long term. Taking a step outside your usual environment can help free you from common stressors and foster a focus on achieving sobriety. People from out of state can find treatment in San Antonio by using SAMHSA’s treatment locator.

What is Alcohol Addiction Treatment?

If you suspect that you or someone you care about has an alcohol use disorder (alcoholism), it may be time to seek professional help. No matter how serious the problem seems, people can recover from alcoholism and live happier, more productive lives. The National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA) reports that alcohol addiction treatment can be very effective, with research showing “that about 1/3 of people who are treated for alcohol problems have no further symptoms 1 year later.”

Effective treatment may involve medications to ease withdrawal symptoms, therapy through a rehabilitation program to understand the addiction and change behaviors, and long-term aftercare programming such as peer support groups to help maintain sobriety and avoid relapse.

Why Choose an American Addiction Centers Facility?

Alcohol.org is a subsidiary of American Addiction Centers (AAC) which offers a nationwide network of facilities, an alumni support system, quality care, and a 90-day promise. Whether located in your city or in a state near you, at AAC facilities you’ll find quality care and custom plans offering a wide range of treatment options and different levels of care to best fit your needs.

AAC’s goal is to put your recovery first so that you get the most out of your experience. They provide a knowledgeable team of doctors, clinicians, and counselors to not only address substance abuse but also co-occurring mental illness, physical wellness, social issues, and more. Further, if a person relapses after completing 90 days of treatment at an AAC program, they can return for 30 days of complimentary treatment.

As an AAC alumni, you’ll get the opportunity to interact with other alumni across the country through hosted gatherings and events. Plus, alumni coordinators check-in regularly to ensure those recovering from substance abuse benefit from continued support.
