Jacob's Ladder has assembled a team of extremely talented and caring staff from around the country. The staff are in long term recovery and have worked in the treatment world for many years. The philosophy of Jacob’s Ladder is that one size doesn’t fit all, and that treatment plans need to be individualized for each resident. Jacob’s Ladder offers a hybrid treatment model that includes mindfulness based stress reduction, 12-step facilitation, music and arts therapy, farming, and adventure therapy, as well as offering clinical and psychological therapy through a partnership with WVU Medicine. The progress I have seen in the residents of Jacob’s Ladder is remarkable. Jacob's Ladder is a new facility and is establishing it's name among the treatment leaders. Although Jacob's Ladder is a new treatment center, the staff are comprised of leaders in the treatment and medical fields with decades of experience. Jacob's Ladder is located at Brookside Farm in Aurora, WV. This location is the epitome of a healing environment. This 300 acre farm is located behind a state park, has streams running through it, and is filled with wildlife of all types. This setting allows for a total immersion in recovery.
