Campbell County Memorial Hospital - Behavioral Health Services

The facility was very helpful and allowed me to progress at my own pace instead of rushing me. I don't remember any outpatient care other than returning to a new doctor. This was helpful. I felt safe and comfortable especially now, knowing that if I went to the facility again I would be treated and released and well again quickly. It was a few years ago, but I appreciated the staff's help in keeping me and bringing me to a stable point so that I could leave the hospital and re-gain my normal life again.

About Wyoming

Wyoming, situated in the western region of the United States, captivates with its unique blend of attributes. Despite being the least populous state, with approximately 600,000 residents,1 Wyoming boasts an abundance of natural beauty and wide-open spaces. Its picturesque landscapes encompass majestic mountains, vast plains, and iconic national parks, such as Yellowstone and Grand Teton. The state’s rich Native American history and cowboy culture contribute to a distinctive identity that embraces traditions of the past while embracing modern influences.

Wyoming’s adventurous spirit attracts outdoor enthusiasts with activities like hiking, skiing, and wildlife observation. Its small communities foster a strong sense of community and pride, celebrating local events and rodeos that showcase the state’s heritage. From its stunning vistas to its warm hospitality, Wyoming offers a serene escape and a glimpse into the essence of the American West.

Alcohol Misuse and Addiction in Wyoming

In Wyoming, as in many parts of the country, alcohol misuse, abuse, and addiction are significant concerns. The impact of alcohol-related issues is evident in the criminal justice system, with alcohol being involved in a staggering 57% of all custodial arrests in the state during 2017.2 Additionally, driving under the influence arrests accounted for 26.7% of all arrests that same year. 2

Also, between 2017 and 2019, Wyoming faced a concerning trend as the annual average prevalence of past-year alcohol use disorder reached 6.0%, equivalent to approximately 29,000 individuals affected.3 This percentage surpassed the national average of 5.3%,3 highlighting the urgency to address and support those grappling with alcohol use disorders in the state.

Finding Alcohol Addiction Treatment in Wyoming

In Wyoming, individuals seeking alcohol addiction treatment have access to various levels of care, each tailored to meet different needs and circumstances. These treatment options include:

  • Detoxification (Detox): Detox is the first step in addiction treatment, aimed at helping individuals safely and comfortably withdraw from alcohol under medical supervision. It focuses on managing withdrawal symptoms and preparing individuals for further treatment.
  • Inpatient Treatment: Inpatient or residential treatment involves staying at a specialized facility for a designated period. This immersive approach provides 24/7 support, a structured environment, and a wide range of therapies and counseling sessions to address the underlying causes of addiction thoroughly.
  • Outpatient Treatment: Outpatient treatment offers more flexibility, allowing individuals to receive therapy and counseling while living at home. This option is suitable for those with less severe addiction or for individuals transitioning from inpatient treatment.

Therapies and specialized treatment programs are crucial components of many rehab centers in Wyoming. These programs may include Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), group therapy, family therapy, and holistic approaches, among others. The tailored approach ensures that treatment aligns with each individual’s unique needs and challenges.

For those seeking a more luxurious treatment experience, Wyoming offers options for luxury rehabs. These facilities provide upscale amenities, personalized care, and a serene environment, making the recovery process more comfortable and private. Alternatively, private rehabs cater to individuals seeking a more exclusive and confidential treatment setting. Private facilities often prioritize individualized attention and customized treatment plans.

To find alcohol rehab in Wyoming, individuals can use online tools like our rehab locator tool to find treatment facilities near them. This tool offers valuable information, such as facility locations, available programs, and contact details, making it easier for individuals to find the most suitable alcohol addiction treatment in Wyoming.

How Much Does Alcohol Rehab Cost?

Insurance coverage for alcohol addiction treatment can be of significant financial support for those seeking help. Most insurance plans, including private health insurance and Medicaid, provide coverage for various aspects of addiction treatment, such as detox, inpatient and outpatient care, therapy sessions, and medications. However, it is crucial to contact their insurance provider to understand the specific coverage and benefits available to them. Insurance plans may differ in terms of the extent of coverage and the types of treatment facilities and programs they work with.

For those who are uninsured, there is still hope for accessing treatment through state-funded treatment centers. State-funded treatment centers are facilities supported by the government to offer affordable or no-cost treatment options to individuals who cannot afford private rehab. These centers aim to provide quality care, counseling, and support on the path to recovery, making them a viable option for those without insurance coverage or financial means.

How Long is Alcohol Rehab?

When it comes to alcohol addiction treatment, individuals have the flexibility to choose from various lengths of stay, with 30-day, 60-day, and 90-day programs being the most common options. The duration of treatment is not a one-size-fits-all approach and can vary based on an individual’s unique treatment needs and circumstances.

It is crucial to work closely with healthcare professionals or treatment advisors to determine the most appropriate duration based on each person’s circumstances. Finding the right length of stay ensures that individuals receive the comprehensive and personalized care needed to achieve lasting recovery and lead a healthier, happier life.
