Facility Philosophy

The AdCare name represents innovation, quality and cost efficiency in alcohol and drug treatment. AdCare’s integrated system of care offers a nationally-recognized hospital facility in Worcester, Massachusetts; an inpatient treatment center in North Kingstown, Rhode Island; and a network of outpatient offices conveniently located throughout Massachusetts and Rhode Island. AdCare Detox Hospital is a level 4, 114-bed drug and alcohol rehab facility in Worcester, MA. Staffed by the region’s most highly qualified physicians, nurses, clinicians, nurse practitioners, counselors, and case managers, your care is always in the most capable hands at our addiction rehabilitation center. We believe that addiction is a disease that affects not only the individual, but his or her family as well. Successful treatment requires placement at the appropriate level of care and involvement of the family throughout the treatment continuum. This treatment philosophy has allowed us to advocate for the patient while remaining responsive to the interests of commercial healthcare companies, Medicare, and other insurers.

Facility Information

What is the duration of addiction treatment programs?
The duration of addiction treatment programs can vary depending on the individual's needs and circumstances but commonly range from 30 to 90 days.
What is the cost of addiction treatment programs?
The cost of addiction treatment programs can vary depending on the type and length of treatment, but many facilities offer financial assistance and payment plans to help make treatment more affordable. Treatment is an investment in your future, and we believe everyone who needs it should be able to access it. We can help verify your insurance coverage at an AAC facility in just a few minutes, and determine the best way to pay for care.
Will my health insurance cover the cost of addiction treatment?
Under the Affordable Care Act (ACA), treatment for substance use disorder (SUD) is considered an essential benefit. This means that many health insurance plans cover some, if not all, of the cost of addiction treatment, but coverage may vary depending on the provider and the type of treatment received.
What types of therapies are used in addiction treatment?
Therapies used in addiction treatment can include various behavioral therapies, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing (MI), and more.
Specialization
  • Medical Detoxification

Drugs and alcohol have widespread effects throughout your body, including but not limited to the addiction and/or physical/psychological dependence that develops with substance abuse over time. Many organ systems are affected by addiction and will react to withdrawal. The term “medical detoxification” means that there is a trained and licensed medical professional onsite to monitor your vital signs and protect your physical and emotional health as your body goes through withdrawal.

Everything about Adcare is all about RECOVERY ❤️‍🩹… Starting with the transportation services… Great medication service… Clearly most of the staff has been schooled on the Concept of “Bedside Manner”… Super Important… some would even say VITAL especially in early RECOVERY… The counselor situation can be a little hit or miss but probably due To understaffing or whatever… There are some LEGENDS tho for sure such as LILLY and JOANNIE!!! Only suggestions would be introducing a simple “Waiver” system that could be signed by the client immediately after arrival stating that Adcare would NOT be responsible for any damage or lost electronics while admitted at hospital… now while I agree that cell phones are a bad idea and were rightfully removed after Covid ended (data showed a dramatic hike in people leaving A.M.A. When allowed to have their phones)… However a tablet DRAMATICALLY helps ease the BOREDOM factor and the INSOMNIA factor which are BOTH Powerful Weopons that the “Disease of Addiction” utilizes… And lastly for people without tablets and for the EXACT same reasons I just mentioned PLEASE keep the TVs on all night….. THANK YOU 🙏
