Beacon Health Options recently merged with Carelon to become Carelon Behavioral Health, though it continues to offer health insurance plans to customers.¹ For those with a Beacon insurance plan, you can now access Carelon Behavioral Health to seek treatment for a drug or alcohol misuse issue.¹ Depending on the level of insurance you have, your insurance may pay for all or some of your mental health care needs, such as substance misuse treatment.
